Melbourne May 2017

We arrived Melbourne and drove off the ship at approx 6.45pm. Drove directly to the Ashley Gardens Holiday Park at Braybrook, where we set up camp for 6 nights. Caprice flew in from Perth the next afternoon to spend a few days with us. What best to do whilst in Melbourne????? Shopping, eating and learning how to use Uber. Uber is THE best thing. Much more reliable, cheaper and safer than taxis. Might I add that it cost $30.00!!!!!!! For 2 hours and 11 minutes parking at the DFO. WTF!!!! Highway robbery. Draculas Theatre Restaurant is always fun, and their new floor show "Resurrection" was very good. Fantastic lighting and special fx with a lot of talent. 😁 On Tuesday, made an appointment at the Skin Temple to have a BCC removed. Sorry about the picture (but this is my travel diary, so need to have a reference to it for my own benefit. 😂). Just now have to remember that I need first lot of stitches taken out in 7 days

Wyllie Park Campground - Petrie Qld

5th, 6th, 7th June 2017 Wyllie Park Campgrounds at Petrie Free 48 hour camp ground for self contained vehicles. Great Campground which adjoins a Park that wraps around the river. A bike path continually winds around the whole park with off lanes to various parts of the town and also continues on to Old Petrie Town. The park itself was a credit to Petrie and the Moreton Bay Council. The park itself has every facility you could think of. Shade, serenity, scenery, paths with distance measurements, toilets, exercise equipment at set stages throughout, great fishing, playgrounds, football field, netball/basketball, skate park, soccer, separate fenced off dog park and in general just a beautiful setting for walking. It is a 7km return walk, but only feels like 10 minutes. The best part for me was arriving at 'Old Petrie Town'. Was not expecting this historical village to be at the end of the trail, and easily spent a couple of hours here just taking a good look arou

I've been amazed at the amount of different signs that I've seen on the Wicked Campers, so I have decided to start collecting pictures of them and adding them on my blog. Now that I've made this decision, I probably won't see them around very much. Byron Bay Byron Bay Byron Bay I missed capturing the top line of this one, which said "A Hard Man".
