Major Creek Reserve

Less than a week into our trip and we are having major electrical problems.  Our onboard inverter has decided to throw in the towel.  A new replacement has been ordered in from Brisbane but we will need to wait until next Tuesday for it to arrive and for an available electrician to fit it.

Meanwhile, we have driven to Major Creek Reserve camping area which is 25km North of Seymour and part of the Goulburn Valley.  It's meant to be a very popular and busy camping area, but I guess that is in the summer and holiday weekends because at the moment it is very quiet and remote.  It is SOoooo quiet, that we have been sleeping in until 9am!!!!

There are no facilities here apart from a long drop and apparently this leaves a lot to be desired. Even Phillip was put off, so it must be bad.

If you like nature, seclusion and solitaire, then this is the place for you.  Me??  A couple of days is ok, but then I want some action.  Would be really good if my card playing buddies were here 😂.

There are signs that someone has been here before

Housework done!

Time to Relax

This is what we found on the neighbouring fence line across the road when we went for a walk.  No wonder we heard firearms every now and then 😳.   Puckapunyal Military Training Area.   www.defence.gov.au>docs>NCRP>VIC

We will head off again on Monday to be closer to Melbourne ready to have the new inverter installed first thing Tuesday morning.
