Samford Valley - House Sit

15th June to 20th June

Our very first house sitting job at Samford Valley.

We Had a little trouble getting into the driveway on arrival. Was stuck for approximately an hour not being able to go forward or back.  Our bike carrier/tailgate had grounded.  But never fear, many hands came and helped and eventually persistence won!!   Sorry AnneMarie and Peter for ripping up your drive and leaving big dents in your lawn.

Finally freed! But because of all the rain in previous days, ground was a little soft.  Felt bad for making a mess.

Here is the Star ⭐️ of our House Sit.  Meet Boots!  He was such a good boy and had a very loving nature.  I swear he could "talk".  He certainly let us know exactly when it was time to get up, eat, walk and go outside.  Hope all our house sits will be just as nice.

Gorgeous drive up to the house.  Very picturesque setting and very relaxing!

The other local residents that have made their home on the property.  3 Tawny Frogmouths.  Took me days to try and get this picture with his eyes open.  Worth the wait! 🤗

Lucky enough to get this picture just before we were ready to leave.  All 3 in the same tree.

Beautiful relaxing cool garden

Two butcher birds were waiting each morning for their breakfast.

AnneMarie and Peter were generous and kind enough to let us have use of their car.

And Yes......... We did manage a quick dip in the pool. 🍷☀️

Poppy had his birthday whilst in Samford.  What's a birthday without cake?????  🎂

The girls had their first Cheer competition for the year with their new Academy ACA, Athena Cheer Academy.
They performed very well being new mini's, and had a great time.

'Cheer' is a very popular sport in Queensland.  Brisbane Entertainment Centre was extremely busy all day.

And, a very serious sport.  I think I counted 18 judges all up.

Loved our stay in Samford Valley which is approximately 21km North West of Brisbane.
And Special thanks to AnneMarie and Peter for welcoming us into their home.  Hope to meet up with you again sometime.
